A special thanks to the late Mrs. Jerlean
Fennell Coffey for sharing these treasured historical articles from her
collection. Mrs. Coffey was the past president of the Denison National
Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). She was an active
participant in many of the local meetings and court battles over integration of
Denison Public Schools.
